We are looking for an experienced Emissions Specialist to join the team reporting to the Health, Safety & Environment Director. The successful candidate will be the industry’s focal point in leading the industry to operationalise and achieve a meaningful reduction in its scope 1 & 2 carbon footprint in line with the North Sea Transition Deal Targets.

You will focus on companies own emissions (scope 1 – carbon and methane / GHGs and related scope 2). Co-ordinate emission management related work across the various teams within OEUK, liaising with the progressing of electrification of assets, currently led by others inside OEUK.

The successful candidate will manage the interfaces with the NSTA, OPRED, BEIS and CCC to promote efficient decarbonisation, working with others inside OEUK to collectively manage stakeholder relationships regarding wider mitigation measures from the use of oil and gas involving scope 3 initiatives and work closely across all OEUK teams managing the renewable energy developments, aligning policy measures and incentives with desired outcomes.

You would be expected to have professional experience in emission management with a focus on operational understanding, be an effective change facilitator who thinks innovatively and acts decisively, adapting positively to challenges. You will also be comfortable being the industry’s spokesperson on related issues and have proven experience in public speaking and media management.

The remit is broad and key responsibilities will encompass a range of activities. Critical to success will be collaborating with multiple stakeholders, with whom relationship management is key.

The successful candidate must have the ability to prepare, analyse and present complex information in an effective and timely manner with good oral and written communication fluency to match
