OEUK’s response to the Scottish Affairs Committee “Hydrogen and carbon capture in Scotland” consultation.
On the 6th of January 2022, the Scottish Government announced its “Hydrogen and carbon capture in Scotland” consultation, examining the role Scotland can play in the UK hydrogen economy.
OEUK Members are already involved in some of the most cutting-edge low carbon projects across the country, including Acorn Hydrogen & CCS. Accelerating these newer energies will dramatically reduce the emissions associated with producing the oil and gas that will continue to be an essential part of the UK’s increasingly diverse energy mix, as well as accelerate the energy transition.
