Senior Supply Chain Adviser

OGUK is the leading representative body for the UK offshore oil and gas industry with offices in London and Aberdeen. It is a not-for-profit organisation, and its vision is to be the leading association within the UK offshore energy industry, ensuring the North Sea remains an internationally attractive place to do business.
Its mission is to champion the UK offshore oil and gas industry, informing, engaging, and advocating for the sector both as part of a diverse energy mix and as an enabler of achieving the UK’s climate change targets. Its role is to support all our members that operate in, or provide services to, the UK offshore energy industry.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Senior Supply Chain Adviser will work to shape the supply chain agenda, ensuring best practice is developed and encouraged across the energy sector.
The remit is broad and key responsibilities will encompass a range of activities. Critical to success will be working with multiple stakeholders, with whom relationship management is key.
Specifically, the successful candidate will assist in the development and delivery of OGUK’s Supply Chain Member Value Proposition, which includes the promotion of the UK upstream supply chain capabilities regionally and nationally; assist with the management of our Supply Chain Forums and Work Groups to develop industry guidance, shape supply chain policy and maintain online records.
The remit also includes undertaking research, developing and sharing supply chain insights, working with stakeholders across the energy supply chain sector. Accordingly, the successful candidates must have the ability to prepare, analyse and present complex information in an effective and timely manner with good oral and written communication fluency to match
A Supply Chain Management related degree and/or CIPS accreditation would be preferred but is not essential, with consideration given to those with strong work experience
The successful candidate will have proven experience working in supply chain management with prior understanding and success in some or all the following disciplines:
- Contract and Supplier Management
- Materials and Inventory Management
- Demand Planning / Forecasting
They will also have demonstrable knowledge and experience of ‘change management’.
The role would suit a candidate in the early to mid-stages of their career in Supply Chain Management
