Hurricane Energy completes SURF installation at Lancaster

Hurricane Energy has completed installation of subsea umbilical, risers and flowlines (SURF) at its 100% operated Lancaster Field, west of Shetland. With these works complete, a final programme of protective rock dumping is expected to take place in October.

The Lancaster Early Production System (EPS) includes a two well tie-back to the Aoka Mizu FPSO – slated to sail away from Dubai next month – and is expected to initially produce 17,000 barrels of oil per day. First oil is targeted for 1H 2019. Read more…
