Drilling waste management specialist TWMA won the award for carbon reduction in conventional assets at the 2023 Offshore Achievement Awards March 16, it said.
The company’s offshore processing technology RotoMill helps its clients achieve lower carbon, safer and more efficient offshore operations. It does away with supply vessels transporting waste to shore, enabling a halving of carbon emissions and cost savings of 60%.
TWMA developed a carbon calculator with independent Norwegian energy expert and assurance provider DNV. The calculator allows operators to compare the carbon emissions of various drilling waste management solutions to allow informed decision-making and support low carbon drilling operations.
