AIS Survivex scoops SPE’s digital innovation award

17 March 2023

3t Energy Group’s training business AIS Survivex won the Digital Innovation Award at the SPE Offshore Achievement Awards (OAA’s) in Aberdeen March 16.

BP needed to induct and train operations and maintenance (O&M) technicians for its giant offshore gas production and export asset shared by Senegal and Mauritania. AIS Survivex provided its client with “blended training” before the GTA project was complete.

It did this with a  revolutionary two-week ‘blended learning’ induction programme: a mix of traditional face-to-face training and virtual reality headsets using a digital twin of the asset delivered via a specially designed ‘Training Console.’ These were both developed by sister company, 3t Transform.

3t Energy Group said: “Our work with BP delivered ground-breaking results, which ensured maximum learner engagement, strong team dynamic and creation of an unrivalled safety-first culture before the asset was even built.”
