Representatives from Offshore Energies UK, the leading representative body for the offshore energy industry, will be speaking at the UK’s largest renewable and low-carbon energy event as it ramps up its new energy scope and expertise.
All Energy is running from 10-11 May in Glasgow and offers a platform for the energy industry to collaborate, discuss the solutions needed for a diverse, healthy energy mix and to engineer a net zero future.
Delegates from OEUK will be attending the event to champion the offshore energy sector and help shape a clean energy future across a range of panel sessions.
The trade body will be at stand G51 to discuss its role in working with its members to produce cleaner energies and safely provide fuel, power and products to the UK.
Speakers include:
- Mark Wilson, HSE & Operations Director, is speaking on the panel ‘Energy security and net zero: the roles of geopolitics and UK offshore resources’ on May 10 between 2pm and 3.30pm.
- Katy Heidenreich, Supply Chain & People Director, is speaking about the challenges facing our sector at the Xodus stand (L50) on May 10 from 1pm.
- Thibaut Cheret, Wind & Renewables Manager, is speaking on the panel ‘INTOG: A world first!’ on May 11 between 2pm and 3.30pm.
OEUK External Relations Director Jenny Stanning said:
“Our brilliant, skilled people work tirelessly to produce the energy from off the coast of Britain that powers not just our homes, transport and industry, but the everyday products we need to live well.
“Our members are the same companies that are investing to accelerate our expansion into renewable sources. The homegrown expertise of our people is driving innovation in cleaner energy production. We are determined to create a sustainable future.
“As we build that future there is no simple choice between oil and gas on the one hand and renewables on the other. The reality is that to keep the lights on and grow our economy, we need both. By the mid-2030s, oil and gas will still provide for 50% of our energy needs.
“So we look forward to representing the change our members are making at All Energy – and showing how oil and gas and renewables can work in tandem to provide a secure, diverse, and affordable energy future.”
Our spokespeople will be available for interview at All Energy. Please email [email protected] if you wish to organise media activity.
