Promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Industry: Strategies and Best Practices

Join us at our next Young Professionals event on 3 October in the OEUK London office, sponsored by Halliburton, dedicated to empowering young professionals to enhance DE&I in the industry.

The event will run a series of interactive sessions, where you will gain practical insights and strategies from industry experts to help you navigate DE&I situations in the workplace. You will participate in three sessions, led by our expert speakers, looking at:

1. Navigating DE&I situations in the workplace
Through case studies, this session will provide you with hands-on experience in identifying and addressing DE&I issues in the workplace.

2. Understanding and mitigating unconscious bias
Unconscious bias can significantly impact decision-making and workplace dynamics. In this session, we will explore the science behind unconscious bias and its effects on the workplace.

3. Embracing neurodiversity in the workplace
Not everyone thinks the same, and understanding this is key to creating an inclusive workplace. This session will help you understand neurodiversity and the importance of being adaptable to different ways of thinking.

What you can expect:

  • An opportunity to ask the expert panel questions
  • Gain an understanding on the role of DE&I in the workplace
  • Learn critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Find out how to recognise your own biases and strategies on how to mitigate them
  • Identify and value perspectives of neurodiverse colleagues
  • Networking opportunities

The event is aimed at graduates, those early in their career and anyone new to the energy industry. Stay tuned for further announcements.
