The Hydrogen Forum provides members with visibility on Hydrogen activities, opportunities and challenges in the UK. With a key focus on the development of the “green” and “blue” hydrogen production sector and hydrogen transport & storage infrastructure as part of a wider commercially viable system.

The Forum is aimed at OEUK members who are aiming to produce, store and/or transport hydrogen and those that may utilise hydrogen in their processes. The Forum will look at supporting the delivery of the North Sea Transition Deal and engage with the North Sea Transition Authority to ensure that the delivery of their role as offshore hydrogen transportation and storage regulator is supportive of the hydrogen sector.

Open to members with interests or expertise in CCUS.

Each member may nominate two representatives (one primary and one technical representative).

Objectives:

  1. Implementation of the North Sea Transition Deal;
  2. Support the hydrogen sector in the overall system transformation and integration with other activities in the offshore domain, including integration with oil and gas, wind and CCUS;
  3. Support the development of supply chain and skills for the hydrogen sector, developing best practices and incorporating lessons learnt from oil and gas;
  4. Aid the evolution of transportation and storage networks as the hydrogen sector develops, understanding proposed regulations, standards, financing options and HSE factors and;
