Event Overview
Uncover the Power of Offshore Energy
Offshore Energies UK (OEUK), the leading representative for the offshore energy sector, will be sharing the latest insights as part of a series of events across the UK taking place in June.
This year we are launching a new report providing an integrated insight into the economic contribution and workforce profile to the offshore sector. This sector has been an important part of the UK economy for over 50 years, driven by oil and gas activity.
There is significant opportunity ahead for the offshore sector and its people. With the UK industry being in a world leading position for the development of hydrogen, ccs, offshore wind, alongside its ongoing vital role in supplying oil and gas, this this event will set out how the opportunity for the country can be achieved through action to improve the competitiveness of the UK for investment and ongoing development of its supply chain and skilled workforce.
This all comes at a time where policy makers from all sides are prioritising economic growth opportunities. The contribution from the offshore sector, relies on making the most of our oil and gas resources, alongside accelerating the development of our offshore wind CCS and hydrogen potential.
As the General Election approaches, attendees will also have a chance to hear about the offshore energy sector’s manifesto and the plans to shape the low carbon energy system of the future.
The event will be chaired by Katy Heidenreich, Supply Chain & People Director, Offshore Energies UK and our speakers and panellists include:
