The CCUS Forum provides members with visibility on UKCS CCUS activities, opportunities and challenges, with a key focus on offshore CO2 transport & storage as part of a wider commercially viable system.

The forum will act as a formal body through which members’ representatives can share best practices, review challenges related to CCUS, create and resource task finish groups (“TFGs”) for specific tasks, interact with other industry stakeholders, OEUK Forums, Associations and regulators, and to prepare recommendations/guidelines for consideration of the OEUK Board and members.

Open to members with interests or expertise in CCUS.

Each member may nominate two representatives (one primary and one technical representative).

Objectives:

  1. Identifying industry good practices, guidelines and standards applicable to the repurposing of oil and gas Infrastructure and CCUS Operations, which can be implemented and maintained by industry.
  2. Providing regulators and stakeholders with a way to discuss cross-industry issues relevant to improving health, safety and environmental excellence.
  3. Support the development of policy and consultations related to CCUS and asset repurposing.
  4. Supporting existing OEUK initiatives across the Wells Forum, Decommissioning Forum and the Energy Transition Forum, etc.
