About this group

The Radiological Issues Technical Group allows specialists from member companies to exchange expertise, experiences, insights and lessons learned about the possible environmental and safety effects related to radioactive sources and radiological waste in the offshore energy industry.

Membership is open to all OEUK members who have the relevant expertise and technical knowledge of offshore radioactive sources and radiological waste management within their organisation.

Objectives

  • Provide regular opportunity for engagement between industry and key regulators.
  • Facilitation of regulatory compliance.
  • Identify, understand and where necessary, propose actions to resolve current and emerging radiological issues including e.g. policy consultations and sharing good practice.
  • Create and resource task finish groups when required.
