Responding to the Carbon Capture Usage and Storage (CCUS) Taskforce’s recommendations to Government on how the UK can become a global leader in CCUS, Oil & Gas UK Chief Executive Deirdre Michie said:
“This report takes us another step forward towards a diverse, low carbon energy mix needed to meet growing demand. With established infrastructure, an experienced workforce with relevant skills, and existing support for the work of the task force, the UK’s indigenous oil and gas industry is well placed to support the development of carbon capture usage and storage.
