This guidance has been developed by Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure, DECC, Oil & Gas UK and UKPIA. The guidance outlines the personnel security provisions which organisations in the oil and gas industry may consider implementing in order to mitigate their vulnerability to intentional and unintentional insider acts by the contracting section of the workforce. A number of departments (human resources, security, legal, supply chain and procurement) may play a role in the engagement of contract staff and these departments should therefore consult the guidance.
