UK-based explorer EnQuest has set up Veri, a wholly owned subsidiary, to manage the company’s infrastructure and repurpose it for a lower-carbon future. Its CEO will be Salman Malik, EnQuest’s CFO and MD for infrastructure and new energy. He remains an executive director of EnQuest’s board.
EnQuest said in its December 7 statement that this is “a logical next step in the strategic evolution of its ambitions to build an infrastructure and new energy business in a capital-light manner, while providing Veri the opportunity to leverage support from financial and strategic partnerships.”
