Offshore service provider Ampelmann has announced that, as of 2 April, it has enabled the safe transfer of five million people and ten million kg of cargo worldwide. The company says that this double milestone is proof of its continuous commitment to setting the industry standard in offshore safety and efficiency.
Safe transfer number five million took place during a project in Qatar, where its A-type access system is operating on the POSH Skimmer vessel for a local oil major. A project with Siemens on the Deep Cygnus vessel in the North Sea, in turn, is what tipped the counter past the 10 million kg mark.
