A concept study and front-end engineering design (FEED) project carried out by Xodus Group has determined that a North Sea operator will save up to £59 million by adopting a not normally attended (NNA) model ahead of decommissioning a field.
Well decommissioning programmes were completed for two platforms at the field, but work at a third platform is not due to start for at least two years. To support the move to a minimum facilities asset in the interim, Xodus initiated a concept study in October 2017, followed by a FEED project in December 2017.
