Global logistics and materials specialist ASCO has won a three-year contract with the UK’s biggest freeport, Teesworks, it said May 20. The work is expected to start this summer.
This is a significant development for the Aberdeen-based company as it builds on its oil, gas and wider energy expertise. It said it won the contract thanks to its track record of service delivery for major energy industry operators.
The work will include quayside planning and scheduling, operations coordination, vessel scheduling, stevedoring and internal distribution services. It will focus on Teesworks’ 450-metre South Bank Heavy Lift Quay.
