CHC Helicopter and University of Aberdeen to research crew resource management

CHC Helicopter and the University of Aberdeen’s Department of Industrial Psychology have been awarded £54,000 to fund PhD research projects in crew resource management (CRM) and human factors training. Beginning September 2019, Dr. Amy Irwin and her team will work with the CHC Flight Training Department in Aberdeen to study and develop the latest helicopter operations training methods and scientific evaluation techniques.

The project will enable the evaluation of key aspects of training and aid the identification of factors that may influence training and CRM effectiveness. The results should help future training programmes to become even more effective. Read more…
