19 September 2023

Recent developments in climate change litigation, environmental and sustainability issues are some of the topical themes on the agenda at Offshore Energies UK’s (OEUK) Legal Conference which takes place in Aberdeen at Ardoe House Hotel on 28 September.

With a membership that includes over 400 organisations with an interest in offshore oil, gas, carbon capture and storage, hydrogen and wind, OEUK will host the event with sponsorship from Clyde & Co LLP and additional support from CMS.

A host of expert industry speakers and sessions have been announced, including Daniel Brown, Managing Director, LOGIC, who will outline the vision and opportunity of the energy transition for LOGIC as it becomes Leading Offshore Energy Industry Competitiveness.  A not-for-profit subsidiary of OEUK, LOGIC’s suite of supply chain and logistics tools and services are increasingly being applied across the full range of offshore energies.

Mark Walsh, Partner, Clyde & Co, principal sponsor of the conference, said:

“This year’s Legal Conference provides a welcome opportunity for industry peers to share learnings and best practice, while exploring some of the biggest challenges and opportunities facing the sector. We’re proud to sponsor this year’s event, which brings together experts from across the offshore energy spectrum and look forward to participating in what’s sure to be a series of engaging and insightful discussions.”

Commenting, OEUK’s Legal Manager Tracey Keith said:

“This year’s conference and dinner provides an invaluable opportunity for both in-house and private practice lawyers of all levels and specialist contractors to network and engage in discussions with industry-leading legal colleagues. It’s a great opportunity to hear about the changes taking place in our evolving offshore energy industry and how they affect our community.”
