UK producer Serica Energy and engineering firm Altrad have signed a three-year contract for the Bruce platform offshore Scotland.
The contract starts in October and is renewable for two further terms of one year. It covers access, insulation, painting, deck crew services, heat exchanger maintenance and environmental services, Altrad said October 28.
Altrad said it won the contract on the basis of its proven ability to enhance safety performance and operational efficiency in line with Serica Energy’s strategic objectives and goals over the past three years.
Serica operates the Bruce, Keith and Rhum fields in the UK Northern North Sea and has an interest in the Erskine field in the Central North Sea.
Altrad, which won an Engineering Construction Industry Training Board award for Technology in Learning on October 26, aims to expand by 75% by 2026 .
