Energy training provider AIS Survivex is taking medical services in-house at its Newcastle site, it said March 6. It has engaged a full-time team of medical professionals so that it can offer more medical appointments. The new team includes a new onsite doctor, nurse and administrator. They will deliver a range of occupational health services.
Medical certification is mandatory to demonstrate fitness to work in industries such as the offshore sector where safety is critical. As well as medical certification such as Oil and Gas UK (OGUK) Offshore medicals, the services on offer at the new in-house centre include drug and alcohol testing and food handling assessments.
