BHGE opens subsea Centre of Excellence

Baker Hughes, a GE company (BHGE), has opened its transformed subsea Centre of Excellence (CoE) facility in Montrose. The upgraded and expanded campus represents a £31 million investment by BHGE, supported by a £4.9 million grant from the Scottish government through Scottish Enterprise.

The new campus will benefit from advanced manufacturing tools and processes, designed to improve efficiency and productivity, including virtual reality tools, automation tools, 3D printing and other technologies. It will also help develop the workforce through a series of investments and training that will support apprenticeships, a STEM program, and local schools. Read more…
