Scottish law firm Brodies LLP has boosted its market leading oil and gas practice with the appointment of new partner, Andy Russell.
Andy began his legal career at Brodies, undertaking an oil and gas-focused traineeship and qualifying in 2014. Most recently, he served as General Counsel (GC) and Head of the Legal and Governance Division at North Oil Company in Qatar, where he was recognised on The Legal 500’s GC list for two consecutive years. His specialist expertise in oil field services, operations, and offshore infrastructure projects — including EPCIC contracts — complements the firm’s top-ranked oil and gas practice and supports its strategic focus on both UK and international markets. Andy’s appointment brings the total number of oil and gas partners in the firm to five. He will be based in Brodies’ Aberdeen office.
