Producer Dana Petroleum has picked oil field services specialist Petrofac to provide well management services for all its UK North Sea operated assets. These include its two floating, production, storage and offtake vessels Triton and Western Isles, the two companies said October 10.
The new, $60m two-year contract includes well engineering, from concept through detailed design and planning to intervention and decommissioning activities. Petrofac will continue to manage the entire supply chain.
Petrofac’s asset solutions COO Nick Shorten said: “There is no better validation of our delivery than our customer’s decision to retain our services.”
Dana COO Andy Duncanson said his company was “committed to doing all we can to support the supply chain and nurture the specialist skills that are so important for both our business and the wider sector.”
