OGUK, the leading representative organisation for the UK offshore oil and gas industry is pioneering an innovative hybrid format for its 2021 flagship Offshore Decommissioning Conference, which is taking place between November 22-24 this year.
Following its first ever digital conference in 2020, which attracted more than 1,300 delegates from 50 countries, OGUK’s 2021 event offers delegates the chance to either benefit from face-to-face networking at the Fairmont Hotel St Andrews or participate remotely from any location around the world. Those booking by 24 September can benefit from ‘early-bird discounts’ on both virtual and in-person tickets plus options on exhibition space.
Joe Leask, OGUK’s decommissioning manager said:
“Innovation is at the heart of our conference, which aims to drive transformational change in every aspect of decommissioning as we focus on securing our industry’s role in the low carbon economy. We’ll provide the latest insight on decommissioning market intelligence enabling clients and suppliers to do business more effectively, examine low carbon decommissioning options and explore new technologies to grow our understanding of their impact on our industry.”
OGUK is working with an impressive line-up of session champions to develop a truly interactive and thought-provoking agenda. The champions include the Oil & Gas Authority, Department for International Trade, the Net Zero Technology Centre, International Association of Oil and Gas Producers, Boston Consulting Group and the Robert Gordon University’s Energy Transition Institute.
With ten sessions over two days, the conference provides a multi-dimensional arena where delegates can interact with some of the industry’s most inspirational and knowledgeable speakers, learn from topic specialists and gain insight of emerging sector trends in both the UK and around the world.
Early bird bookings are now open for the conference and can be booked here.
