Explicit ApS lands major Norwegian client

Danish greentech pioneer Explicit ApS has secured a ‘landmark’ contract worth millions of euros to survey methane emissions from all of Equinor’s Norwegian assets, it said February 20. It covers 39 offshore platforms and three facilities onshore operated by the state-controlled major.

“Equinor is committed to mitigating the effects of methane emissions and the use of innovative technologies such as drones to document emissions. We look forward to working with their team on this year’s methane survey,” said Explicit.

Demand for aerial methane surveys are rising and Explicit is ramping up to meet client needs. It is opening offices in Norway to help it take care of its major new client.
