This technical note is intended to support OEUK medical examiners conducting fitness for work assessments for personnel working on wind energy installations, in line with the Energy Institute (EI) publication EI 3583 Medical fitness assessment for wind turbine workers.
The structure of this OEUK document mirrors the EI guideline, with comments on the demands of wind turbine work aligned to the same section numbers. For clarity, the clinical sections (5.1–5.16 in the EI guidance) have been presented in a dedicated ‘Specific Medical Diagnoses’ section (7.1–7.16) within this note. Both documents are intended to be read together and cross-referenced as appropriate.
