Cerulean Winds has completed 72 digital aerial surveys (DAS) for its Aspen, Beech and Cedar floating wind developments. In all it covered an area of 2,784 km², it said April 24.
HiDef Surveying did the work using fixed-wing aircraft and ultra-high-resolution digital surveying technology between April 2023 – immediately after INTOG leases were awarded – and March 2025.
The data will be used to ensure compliance with UK and European environmental legislation and to help optimise sustainable project planning.
Cerulean’s next stop is set to submit its Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the 1-GW Aspen project, a critical step in accelerating timely project delivery and achieving commercial operation.
