Clean energy specialist Verlume has appointed co-founding employee Robert Heron as product manager, it said November 17. In this newly created role, the mechanical engineer will scale up business growth in the subsea energy transition, offshore wind, defence and security sectors.
At the heart of Verlume’s systems is Axonn, a proprietary intelligent energy management system. It is the gateway for renewable power and energy storage, maximising available capacity. It can take power from a range of renewable energy inputs, making it one of the solutions to the net zero emissions challenge.
Robert (image below courtesy of Verlume) joined Verlume as a founding employee in 2013 and has worked in engineering and project management. He will work closely with CTO Paul Slorach, developing battery systems and making Axonn even more efficient at balancing power supply with demand.
