Norwegian offshore operator Aker BP has contracted to use Aize’s workspace to improve its operations, maintenance and barrier management processes.
Aize’s cloud-based workspace will allow Aker BP to collaborate internally and externally and orchestrate core processes within one shared workspace. Aize will be used in both project execution and asset operations, reducing costs and increasing efficiency.
The collaboration, announced April 7, will initially focus on improving condition-based maintenance on both existing and new areas and managing barriers for all the company’s assets.
“This will create the foundation for an end-to-end operational model for the future in Aker BP, enabling us to operate even more efficiently. This agreement truly accelerates the important digitalisation efforts we have started,” said Aker BP’s operations manager Ine Dolve (below left courtesy Aize).
The CEO of Aize, Jarle Skrebergene, said he hoped Aize and Cognite would “further strengthen Aker BP’s position as an industry front-runner in digitalisation and efficient operations – and by association not only within the oil and gas sector.”
