Bilfinger has secured a major contract with bp to deliver Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspection services across all bp’s North Sea assets, further strengthening a longstanding partnership. The award builds on the recent three-year extension of Bilfinger’s insulation, access, and painting (ISP) contract, originally awarded in 2019, and expands the scope of services provided. Bilfinger has already extended its offering to bp in recent years to include tank entry and specialist cleaning, demonstrating its ability to adapt and deliver integrated solutions.
The renewed agreement secures more than 250 jobs, with a team of 14 personnel based onshore and 241 offshore and will run until 2027. Advanced technologies such as robotics, artificial intelligence, and a fully integrated digital workflow will be deployed to improve efficiency, reduce emissions, and enhance sustainability in line with bp’s operational goals.
