Oilfield solutions company ChampionX has appointed Dr. Song Gao as director of research, development, and engineering (RD&E) for chemical technologies in the eastern hemisphere.
Based in Aberdeen, the chemical engineer and oil sands expert Dr Gao will lead the regional team to support key accounts across the region, the company said January 23.
Her work on data analytics, artificial intelligence and digital transformation has been key in driving the company’s clients’ efficiencies through data-driven decision-making.
In her new role, she will oversee the development of advanced technology to help optimise production chemistry, enhance asset integrity and reduce environmental impact.
