Energy industry champions revealed as OEUK announces finalists for annual Awards

9 September 2024

Outstanding individuals and businesses from across the UK’s offshore energy sector are revealed today as OEUK announces the finalists for its annual Awards, sponsored by Shell U.K. Limited.

The industry’s brightest stars will come under the spotlight at OEUK’s celebratory ceremony on Thursday November 28 at P&J Live in Aberdeen. Well over a hundred nominations were considered by an expert panel and whittled down to a short list of finalists whose contribution to the industry has been exceptional.

Commenting on the announcements, OEUK CEO David Whitehouse, said:  “The OEUK awards show the very best examples of our amazing offshore industry which is at the heart of the UK’s prospects for the energy transition, economic growth and homegrown innovation.

We’ve had a record response to our call for nominations resulting in almost 40 finalists, which highlights the abundance of talented people and enterprising companies throughout the UK. OEUK’s Awards give us the opportunity to recognise their talents and expertise so they can continue developing the brilliant and innovative solutions we need to unlock the huge potential there is here in the UK. We look forward to celebrating our sector and to revealing the winners in November.”

Attendees at OEUK’s Awards ceremony will have the opportunity to vote on the night for the winner of the Neighbour of the Year which recognises companies demonstrating exceptional corporate social responsibility and community engagement.
