Global Energy Group (GEG) has acquired a majority share in Apollo Offshore Engineering and will combine its operations with the existing GEG Integrity and Construction (ICON) division. The result is the creation of a new brownfield-focused, integrated EPC contractor named Global Engineering and Construction (Global E&C) – the only such contractor in the UK market focused exclusively on brownfield OPEX.
As a standalone entity, Global E&C will have a combined headcount of around 900 personnel and will be managed separately from the broader Group. As part of the acquisition, Apollo’s consultancy business will continue to operate under the existing brand and will offer technical engineering services, with a focus on front-end and through-life solutions across multiple markets.
