Gordon Matson has been promoted to Director of LS Customs and Peterson Freight Management, part of Peterson Energy Logistics. Gordon, who joined Peterson in 2022, has driven significant growth at LS Customs, doubling its headcount through a strong focus on customer connections. He now leads both businesses, bringing over 15 years of experience as National Oil and Gas Manager at Kuehne & Nagel. His priorities include strategic customer engagement, business development, training delivery, and business management.
Andrew Ellis, Commercial Director, said Gordon was the natural choice given the businesses shared ethos and focus on trusted client relationships. Gordon said the role combines his passion for international freight forwarding with leading a customs team during a critical period for the industry, highlighting synergies between the two businesses while preserving their individuality. He will be supported by an experienced management team across operations, transport, warehousing, and customs services.
