Every year on April 28th, all around the world the trade union movement unites to mark International Workers’ Memorial Day, when those who have lost their lives at work, or from work-related injury and diseases are remembered.
Employees of OGUK member companies are invited to participate in a minute’s silence to mark International Workers’ Memorial Day at 11.00 a.m. on Tuesday 28th April.
As we remember those workers who have lost their lives in past tragedies such as Piper Alpha, this year we will also pay tribute to the sacrifice made by so many workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, to remember those who have sadly lost their lives, and to thank all those who continue to do such vital work across the offshore oil and gas industry.
