The Aberdeen-based company, J&S Subsea Limited has recently teamed up with Westpaq International to expand its presence and tap into future potential in Sub-Saharan Africa. The MOU will see Westpaq provide local representation, business development, strategic market access and more, acting as the official in-country partner in Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea and Cameroon and regional interface for J+S Subsea Limited. It will build on J+S Subsea Limited’s existing presence in Côte D’Ivoire and Equatorial Guinea, and a string of successful projects in the region.
The move will allow J&S Subsea Limited to offer a comprehensive suite of products and services including bespoke subsea product design, complete subsea control engineering, equipment obsolescence and spares management, hydraulic pressure testing and flushing, subsea and Site Integration Testing (SIT) to support late life assets, as well as greenfield and marginal developments.
J&S Subsea’s ground-breaking Legacy Locker™ innovation will also play an important role in making inroads in the region. This provides reuse options for clients’ existing stock and enables the purchase and recovery of items identified to be scrapped into re-certified and available off-the-shelf components to support the circular economy.
“By combining our knowledge and Westpaq’s strong regional presence, we are creating an important platform that will enable the delivery of high-quality solutions that are correctly tailored to the needs of customers across this evolving market.”
J&S Subsea Technical Sales Manager, Alan Smith
