Producer Kistos is “delighted by Shell’s confidence” in the Victory gas field and the government’s support for the project, executive chairman Andrew Austin said in a January 18 regulatory filing.
He said the field’s output would significantly increase throughput at the Shetland Gas Plant (below, courtesy TotalEnergies), reduce operating costs and extend the life of the Greater Laggan Area, in which Kistos is also an equity investor.
“We look forward to working alongside our partners to support this important development for the UKCS and the West of Shetland region,” he said.
