Maersk Training lands Boskalis safety contract

2 December 2021

UK Maersk Training (MT) has been awarded a six-figure contract to provide its complete Training Management Services (TMS) for Boskalis Subsea Services (BSS)’s 1,000-strong global workforce. The contract is for three years with a two-year extension option, MT said December 2.

As part of the agreement, MT will deliver some of its industry-leading training and competency solutions including offshore survival, health, safety and environment, diving operations, and deck operations. The contract includes MT’s state-of-the-art e-Learning suite.

Maersk Training upgraded its TMS earlier this year, improving competency processes for companies. Its modular training units offer an effective and safer solution for delegate training.

MT UK’s interim commercial head, Stephen Ferguson (pictured below), said the company was “thrilled to have secured this contract with Boskalis Subsea Services.”

Following recent investments in its facilities, and given its “continued focus on supporting companies in the energy transition,” Ferguson said it was an “exciting time for Maersk, and having Boskalis Subsea Services recognise us as its preferred partner to manage training requirements is testament to the quality delivered by our team, coupled with our fantastic facilities.”

Natalie Carroll, BSS’s global competence & training manager (second from left), said BSS had “long admired” MT’s “bespoke and expert training solutions” and the company was “well-placed geographically to help manage our training requirements, while using innovative solutions to ensure our technical, health and safety standards are of the highest calibre.”
