Rig inspection specialist ModuSpec has completed the intake of three jack-up drilling rigs which have all started up in the last week, the Vysus Group subsidiary said August 30. One is offshore Egypt and the other two are working offshore UK.
The rig starting in Egypt is a conventional design jack-up, undertaking a high impact exploration well. ModuSpec supported the client during the intake to ensure the equipment met the performance required for the milestone campaign. It also verified the robustness of the drilling contractor’s intangible capabilities such as the crew management systems.
In the UK, start-up was achieved for a heavy-duty cyber jack-up and a conventional design jack-up. ModuSpec’s two clients praised the technical team’s support during the intake projects.
