ModuSpec, a Vysus Group company, has won two contracts to deliver rig inspection services for geothermal projects on the continent, it said late November. One is for ENNA Geo in Croatia; the other is in the Netherlands, for the state oil and gas producer EBN. ENNA Geo wants to drill to gain access to a geothermal reservoir, which, if all goes to plan, will be used to produce 20 MW of electricity.
ModuSpec’s business development manager Liam Pirie said: “There’s an estimated 100-130 new geothermal wells to be drilled in Europe through to 2026, so it’s great for ModuSpec to be involved in some of these flagship projects that will support the energy transition and directly contribute to local communities as well.”
