20 August 2026

Inspiring individuals, teams and companies from across the energy sector have been recognised at the 2026 Energy Safety Awards ceremony jointly hosted by Offshore Energies UK and Step Change in Safety at P&J Live in Aberdeen.

With principal sponsorship from Harbour Energy, the event recognises the excellent work being done to promote safety, support wellbeing and drive improvements in safety performance.

Chris Curson, VP HSES (UK) Harbour Energy, gave the keynote speech highlighting that the best safety culture is one that recognises great behaviours, moments of courage and how we show up each day to ensure our operations are safe. Building on 15 years of offshore experience, Steph Sunley, Logistics Co-ordinator, Spirit Energy, presented the audience with the view from the workforce, explaining how coaching can unlock peoples’ potential through everyday safety conversations.
