Aberdeen-based energy services consortium PBS is marking two years’ work on one of the largest general maintenance & operations contracts in the North Sea, providing support to all seven of TotalEnergies’ sites on the UKCS.

Director Andreas Christophersen said that PBS had achieved significant milestones under that contract, including the safe and successful execution of five shutdowns during 2021, the reduction in overall backlog by 50%, installation of several critical flowlines, and the deployment of digital mobility operations offshore and more efficient utilisation of the offshore workforce.

He said: “Team PBS is motivated to continue optimising the customer’s operational performance and deliver sustainable efficiency savings.  We are extremely proud of our achievements to date, and confident that our plans for the next phase of the contract will see further objectives met,” he said.ith two years of the GMOC under our belt, our one-team philosophy remains agile and flexible, allowing us to deliver innovation in processes and service delivery.”

PBS now plans to extend its business model to support other global operators. Their management team are already in conversation with potential clients, and they hope to announce additional contract wins soon.
