Developed in collaboration with Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce (AGCC), Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) and OPITO, this strategic paper presents a clear framework to unlock investment, support jobs and accelerate the UK’s transition to a lower-carbon energy system. It highlights the need for long-term political and regulatory stability to protect the offshore energy supply chain and attract sustained capital investment.
The framework is built around three key pillars: business, place and people. It calls for a competitive fiscal environment, prioritisation of domestic energy in local communities and a coordinated UK energy workforce strategy. It sets out a compelling offer to government to co-design and implement an Industrial Strategy that safeguards jobs, secures investment and delivers affordable, homegrown energy at pace and scale. A vital read for policymakers, industry leaders and investors shaping the future of UK energy.
