| At today’s Ethical Finance Summit, run by the Global Ethical Finance Initiative, OGUK’s CEO Deirdre Michie highlighted how collaboration between the finance sector and the UK’s changing offshore oil and gas industry can deliver positive change and a net-zero future. Speaking after the event, Ms Michie said: “Now is the time for the finance sector and the UK’s changing offshore oil and gas industry to work together to unlock investment for a sustainable future. “In this way, we can provide greener energy across the country, support hundreds of thousands of jobs and enable communities from Shetland to Southampton to benefit from the energy transition. “Capital should continue to be channelled to greening sectors like ours that, in this pivotal time, are helping other industries decarbonise and take real action to deliver the sustainable future we all want to see.” Ends |
