This interactive map is built from workforce data drawn from Restrata’s offshore personnel-tracking system, currently showing 2023 figures with 2022 also available for comparison. It shows where our workforce lives, broken down by postcode area, nationality, age and role, plus a worldwide view for workers based outside the UK.
Methodology note
This map is based on workforce records for 2022 and 2023, with 2023 shown by default. In 2023, 40,433 individuals were recorded, and 34,950 had a postcode that matched a UK postcode area and appear on the main map. In 2022, the totals were 45,903 recorded and 36,430 matched.
Most of the remainder work outside the UK, so their records carry a home country postal code rather than a UK one. These workers are not left out: switch to the Worldwide view to see them grouped by nationality instead. A smaller number could not be matched because of data entry issues.
