Developed in consultation with duty holders, helicopter operators and the aviation regulator, it aims to minimise the fire risk associated with lithium-ion batteries and ensure passenger safety.
The guidance explains permitted items, packaging requirements and safe transport procedures for devices such as laptops, tablets, phones, smartwatches, e-cigarettes and power banks. It also highlights the importance of limiting non-essential PEDs and ensuring all devices are powered down and appropriately stored.
