Aberdeen’s reputation as a global energy hub was highlighted on Friday as Cairngorm Energy welcomed the Moroccan Ambassador and delegation to its headquarters at Union Point. The visit brought together representatives from a number of Aberdeen-based businesses to discuss Morocco’s energy ambitions, investment opportunities and the role Scottish expertise can play in supporting the country’s ongoing energy transition.
A key part of the visit was an interactive Q&A session co-hosted by Christina Horspool, Managing Director of Cairngorm Consultants and Scot Webster, Managing Director of Cairngorm Energy, providing Aberdeen businesses with the opportunity to engage directly with the Ambassador and delegation on topics including infrastructure development, energy projects, investment and international collaboration. The event highlighted Aberdeen’s long-standing reputation as a centre of engineering excellence and demonstrated the continued demand for the skills, knowledge and project delivery expertise developed in the north-east of Scotland.
For Cairngorm Energy, hosting the delegation reflects the company’s growing international outlook and commitment to building relationships in key global markets. Since its launch, the company has expanded its activities across multiple regions, supporting clients through engineering, consultancy and project delivery services across both traditional and emerging energy sectors. Bringing together the Ambassador, local industry leaders and businesses under one roof also showcased the strength of Aberdeen’s business community and its ability to contribute to major energy and infrastructure developments around the world.
