Upstream software company Asset55 has won a major contract from ExxonMobil, it said July 19. Its Validate and Execute software will be used to support the Uaru floating production, storage and offtake vessel.
These two software packages are deployed on eight major capital projects with a combined budget of over $60bn.
Asset55 said its “impressive portfolio of FPSO projects continues to grow with our reputation to enable projects to deliver safely and efficiently”. It added the privilege of working with many major operators concurrently “is a responsibility, but also a privilege that drives our company mission forward.”
The $12.7bn Uaru project is part of the giant Stabroek area and has the capacity to produce some 250,000 barrels/day.
